Who is responsible

Dental Journey Albania, a patient facilitation service based in Tirana, Albania, is responsible for the handling of your personal data described here. You can reach us at any time on WhatsApp or by email for questions about your data.

What we process

This website is fully static: it stores no personal data, sets no tracking cookies, and runs no analytics or advertising. The quote form does not send anything to a server. It composes a WhatsApp or email message on your own device, for you to review and send yourself.

When you contact us on WhatsApp or by email, we process only what you voluntarily send us: your name, your contact details, photographs of your teeth, and any health information you choose to share about your situation.

Why we process it, and on what basis

We use your messages and photos solely to prepare your treatment quote and, if you proceed, to coordinate your appointments, travel and stay in Tirana. The legal basis is the performance of pre-contractual measures at your request and the coordination of the treatment contract (Article 6(1)(b) of the GDPR). Where we are legally required to keep or share information, the basis is Article 6(1)(c).

Who receives your data

Your messages, photos and contact details are shared with the treating dentist at our ISO 9001-certified partner clinic in Tirana, strictly as needed to prepare your quote and carry out your treatment plan. We do not sell your data, and we do not share it with anyone else.

WhatsApp is operated by Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd, and email is handled by our email provider. These platforms process your messages as communication services. WhatsApp International transfers are safeguarded by the standard contractual clauses adopted by the European Commission.

How long we keep it

If your enquiry does not lead to a booking, we delete your photos and messages once your case is closed. If you travel for treatment, your treatment documentation stays with the treating clinic for the period required by Albanian medical-records law, and our copies of your contact details are kept only as long as needed for aftercare and the written guarantee.

Your rights

You have the right to access your personal data, to correct it, to have it deleted, to restrict or object to its processing, and to receive it in a portable format. You can also withdraw any consent at any time. To exercise any of these rights, message us on WhatsApp or email us: we respond within 30 days.

You have the right to lodge a complaint with a data-protection authority, for example the Garante per la Protezione dei Dati Personali (Italy), the Beantragte Datenschutzbehörde in Germany, or the Information Commissioner's Office (UK).

No automated decision-making

We do not use your data for automated decision-making or profiling of any kind.

If we change this policy, the updated version will be published on this page with a new date. Material changes will be highlighted.
